About

I am Chris Custine and for around 10 years I have been developing software for large corporate entities primarily in the Financial Services world. Most of the software I have developed has been related to Investment Services and Credit products accounts and transactions. Not exactly glamorous work to be sure, but there has never been a lack of challenge due to the complicated nature of both the technology and the nature of the people and politics in ultra large corporations.

I am a commiter on the Apache Directory project which is a 100% Java LDAP directory server.

    Chris,

I was wondering if you could provide some assistance to me concerning Apache DS. I am trying to implement Apache DS to provide a centralized management solution for managing an single remote access administration account used for remote console access for Dell DRAC and HP iLO RAC for ESX servers in separate ESX management network. There is no Active Directory Services for the ESX management network. The premise was to use Apache DS to faciliate a centralized managment system for managing a single account to manage the systems via RACs. We tested the Apache DS solution with HP ProLiant/iLO and the results are below. I am obviously not an expert with LDAP, but figured implementing Apache DS would provide the solution for managing the RAC account.
